Mentor Program


Why a mentor program?

Mentorship can assist in developing self-esteem, self-actualization, cooperation, relationship satisfactions, and career confidence. It also serves as an intervention to promote personal identity, motivation, and persistence in college. 

The purpose of the mentorship program is to provide ongoing professional development to WVU Tech female students through a variety of individual and group experiences provided by campus mentors. It also seek to enhance the recruitment and retention of female students. 

What is the role of a mentor?

A mentor develops an ongoing relationship through which you assist in the development of the personal, professional, and civic development of the mentee.

What is the role of a mentee?

To actively engage in an ongoing relationship with your mentor as well as participate in group experiences facilitated through the WVU Tech Women's Leadership Conference and Mentoring Program.
